Back to GuidesRequesting design work is simple — just enter the case information and upload the required scan files.
Open Design Requests
Click Design Requests in the top navigation.
Start a new request
Click New Design Request.
Enter the request information
| CAD tool | Select the CAD tool used for the case. |

| Note | Add any additional instructions or information you'd like to share with the Design Partner. |
Add production items
Enter the required information for each production item.
| Type | Select the type of dental work. If you need a type that isn't listed, please contact viahlink.com Support. |

| Teeth / Units | Enter the relevant tooth numbers or units. |
| Material | Enter the requested material. |
| Shade | Enter the required shade. Need to add another item? Click Add production item. |
Upload scan files
Upload the scan files needed for the design work by dragging and dropping them into the upload area, or by clicking Browse files.
Before uploading, please make sure patient names, chart numbers, and any other personal information have been removed from both the file name and file contents.
Submit your request
Take a moment to review your request information and uploaded files, then click Register design request.
Once registered, your request will be assigned to an appropriate Design Partner team.

Can I add multiple production items to one request?
Yes — just click Add production item to add as many items as you need to the same request.
What should I check before uploading a scan file?
Please make sure the file name and file contents don't include patient names, chart numbers, or other personal information.
Can I upload several scan files at once?
Yes, you can select or drag and drop multiple files into the upload area together.
I just submitted my request and noticed I uploaded the wrong file. What now?
Since request details can't be edited directly after submission, please let your Design Partner know through the Messages section as soon as possible, or contact viahlink.com Support for help.
